Robert Allen Hall

Robert Allen Hall,79, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. He was born in St. Charles, VA. on Oct. 8, 1941 to the late James Robert and Margie Anderson Hall. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church, retired and was enjoying the good life.  Robert enjoyed fishing and working in the garden where he grew flowers and tomatoes.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy Drake Hall; daughter Pam Hall and sister Jeanie Perry.

Allen Lee Brooks Sr. 72 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 at his residence. Allen was born on Sunday February 6, 1949 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late James A. and Dorothy Cox Brooks who survives. He was a member of Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, United States Army Vietnam Veteran and a retired mechanic from Trim Master in Leitchfield, KY .

Mildred Johnson Romans, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday February 8, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Mildred was born on Monday September 25, 1933 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Hershel and Edythe Dockery Kessinger and wife of the late Alva Johnson Jr. and Wavie Romans. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and owner and operator of Red Johnson Grocery Store.

Albon Waconda "Walkie" Lee

Albon Waconda "Walkie" Lee, 88 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Walkie was born August 23, 1931 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of the late Sherman and Oakley Small Lee. He was a member of Flatwoods Church of Christ and his occupation in life was a mechanic, farmer, drywall hanger and jack of all trades. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son Larry Wayne Lee; two brothers Talmadeg and Tracy Lee and two sisters Diedra Lee Wilson and Leerema Lee Legge.

Elizabeth Mary Gent

Elizabeth Mary Gent, 92, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Feb. 3, 2021 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. She was born in Tonawanda, NY. on April 16, 1928 to the late David D. and Mary Elizabeth Hepner Reid. Elizabeth earned a Masters in Reading and a Bachelor's Degree in Science. She was a high school science teacher and a remedial reading teacher. Elizabeth was also in the U.S. Navy and worked at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She loved to quilt and crochet. She volunteered at  St.

Lena McKinney Romans

 Hartford- Lena McKinney Romans, 87, passed away Tuesday Feb. 2, 2021 at Signature Health Care in Hartford.  She was born in Quality, KY daughter of the late Pearl and Sally Hayes McKinney. Lena was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church where she served as Childrens Education Director.  She was active in WMU and worked for Kentucky Baptist Convention for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Romans.

Survivors include her sister Edna Goff; 2 nephews; 3 nieces.

Edith “Pauline” Mefford

Edith “Pauline” Mefford, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born in Ohio County, KY to Garve and Flories Beliles on February 5, 1922. She was the oldest child of nine living children. Pauline was very proud of having attended The Old Boston High School in Bulter Co., KY. She married Homer “Coley’ Mefford. They raised six children together while crisscrossing the US due to Coley’s military service. Pauline enjoyed travelling on the Greyhound bus to visit her children and grandchildren.

Thomas Larry Clark

Thomas Larry Clark, 80, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Jan. 30, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Jefferson Co., Ky. on Oct. 10, 1940 to the late James Boone and Leslie Lay Clark . He was Pastor at Pleasant Rock Church for 27 years and retired from the Green River Youth Development Center.  Larry was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a Kentucky Colonel.  He was involved in the community doing many ministry programs such as jail ministry and People Who Care Ministry.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Veneda A. Burden

Veneda A. Burden, 82 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. She was born on Monday, June 27, 1938 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Opal and Eva White Dockery. Veneda and Frank attended Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and as a child she attended the Milam school in Butler County, KY. Veneda loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, listening to gospel music and attending church when her health would allow.

Charles Raymond Burden

Charles Raymond Burden, 83, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Sept. 25, 1937 to the late Atlas and Euva Ilene Embry Burden.  He was a member of First Baptist Church.  Raymond worked as an educator and he loved to play golf, watch all types of sports and mow the yard.
