Jimmy Randal Smith

Jimmy Randal Smith, 81 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday April 15, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Jimmy was born March 3, 1939 in the South Hill Community of Butler County, KY to the late Dice Smith. He was of the Baptist faith and  loved attending church at Morgantown Care & Rehab and playing checkers. Other than his mother he is preceded in death by one grandson Jeremy Smith; two brothers Elzie Hoops and William "Wiggie" Smith and one sister Nettie Basham.

Jewell Barnett Dockery

Jewell Barnett Dockery, 83, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Rockport, IN on Dec. 8, 1936 to the late Grady and Stella Swift Dockery.  He was a Certified Ford and Diesel Mechanic, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel, enjoyed UK Basketball, working around the house, gardening and storytelling.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marcella Tarrance Dockery; daughter Rhonda Snodgrass; grandchildren Mallory Franzell and Terra Dockery and several brothers and sisters.

Gary Wayne Lee, 55, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Warren Co., Ky. on Nov. 11, 1964 to the late Cloy "Stoker" and Ruby Garner Lee.  Gary was a licensed Master Electrician and General Electrical Contractor.

Terry Cardwell, 65, of Horse Branch, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY,  passed away Monday April 6, 2020 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. Terry was born March 13, 1955 in the Leonard Oak community of Butler County, to the late Chester “Clet” and Goldie Mae Johnson Cardwell and husband of the late Patricia Sue Daugherty Cardwell. He was a retired EMT and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Layton B. Brown, 75, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went to his heavenly home Friday, April 10, 2020 at his residence. He was born October 10, 1944 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Glendon “Brownie” Brown and Esther “Bugs” Barnard Brown. Mr. Brown retired from Young’s Manufacturing. Michael Romans, 61 of Dexterville, KY passed away Thursday April 9, 2020 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Michael was born July 22, 1958 in Butler County, KY to the late Herman Lee Romans and Norma Jean Leslie Romans who survives. He was a HVAC technician and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Other than his father he is preceded in death by one brother Bryan Romans.

Leroy Evans

Leroy Evans, 88 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday April 8, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Leroy was born July 24, 1931 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Closter and Ollie Kessinger Evans. He was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and retired mechanic from the Butler County Schools' Bus Garage. Leroy loved spending time with his family, farming, fox hunting, his cattle, and horses. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Jerry Evans, two brothers Erdest and Troy Evans and two sisters Marietta Blacklock and Margie Evans.

Dorothy Hunt, 88 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday April 7, 2020 at her residence. Dorothy was born December 28, 1931 in the Mining City community in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Joseph B. and Mary Elizabeth Poole Willis and wife of the late Hubert Hunt.  She was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than parents and spouse she is preceded in death by two sons Keith Hunt and Kimmie Dale Hunt; one brother Kenneth Willis and one sister Norma Sue Howard.
