Jewell Barnett Dockery, 83, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Rockport, IN on Dec. 8, 1936 to the late Grady and Stella Swift Dockery.  He was a Certified Ford and Diesel Mechanic, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel, enjoyed UK Basketball, working around the house, gardening and storytelling.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marcella Tarrance Dockery; daughter Rhonda Snodgrass; grandchildren Mallory Franzell and Terra Dockery and several brothers and sisters.

Jewell is survived by his children Frankie Dockery (Marsha), Terry Dockery (Theresa), Kay Moore (Roger), Larry Dockery (Julie), Shannon Clark (Jay), Tracy Pharris (Johnny), Shawn Dockery (Kyla); 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and one on the way; two sisters Betty and Bonita; son-in-law Arthur Snodgrass; special sister-in-law Shirley Dockery and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the directives concerning large gatherings, we are abiding by rules set forth by the Governor of Kentucky concerning the health and well being of our staff and the families we serve.  All services are private and under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
