Ernie W. Dunn

Ernie W. Dunn, 89 of Louisville, KY passed away Saturday April 4, 2020 at the Signature Rehabilitation of Cherokee Park in Louisville, KY. Ernie was born June 10, 1930 in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late George and Lucillie Arnold Dunn. Ernie is preceded in death by his life long loving wife of 56 years Daisy M. Phelps Dunn. and one son Charles H. Dunn. Ernie and Daisy ran the family owned business of Ernie Dunn's Auto Service for over 30 years in Louisville, Kentucky.

Julie Hall Peay

 Julie Hall Peay, 88, of Rochester, KY, but was residing with her daughter in Beaver Dam, passed away April, 2, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Julie was born July 18, 1931 in  Butler County, Kentucky to the union of Earl and Mamie Hammers Hall and wife of the late Chester "Chigger" Peay.  She was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church and worked at Emerson Electric in Russellville, Ky and retired from Kellwood in Morgantown, KY.

Lucille Henderson Daugherty

Lucille Henderson Daugherty, 88, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her residence.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on July 2, 1931 to the late Bert and Essie Daugherty Cook. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and worked for General Electric for 39 years.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, quilting and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Jr. Henderson; two sisters Beulah Snodgrass and Shirley Rogers; two brothers Mayburn Cook and Troy Cook.

Jesse Clay "JC" Cox

Jesse Clay "JC" Cox, 93, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Logan Co., Ky. on March 29, 1927 to the late Virgil and Clara Cox, Cox.  JC was a member of the New Gasper Baptist Church.  He was a WWII Veteran having served in the Army Air Corp.  He enjoyed farming, raising cows and working.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carol Deel Cox; sons Terry and Jackie Cox; brothers Frank, Oscar and Joe Cox; sister Dorothy Steble.

Ruby Lee Turner Mastin

Ruby Lee Turner Mastin, 88, of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Bowling Green.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on December 15, 1931 to the late Willie and Rena Bobbett Turner. She was a member of the West End Church of Christ. She worked as a caregiver for Home Instead and enjoyed sewing and taking care of her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl Mastin and sister Opal Francis Hardcastle.

Ruby Jean Adkins

Ruby Jean Adkins, 75 of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away March 27, 2020 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky. Ruby was born January 1, 1945 in the Sorgho Community of Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Malcom and Imogene Roberts Cooper and wife of the late Thomas Lee Adkins. She was a member of Newman Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky and a homemaker.

Larry Ray Jones, 70, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on April 9, 1949 to the late Ray A. and Elizabeth Phelps Jones. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran, he served from 1966-1986 and was a member of the 1/37th Armor Alumni. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Larry loved motorcycles, old cars and trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Brenda Jones; brothers Douglas Jones and Ronnie Jones.

Agathalene Phelps Renfrow

Agathalene Phelps Renfrow, 69, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 3, 1950 to the late Elvis E. and Pansy Marie Brooks Phelps. She was a member of Caneyville Church of God of Prophecy. She worked at the Farm Boy and Hillside Inn many years ago. She loved to color, cook, read her bible, sew, plant a garden, can and tend her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother and grandchild Laura Marie Renfrow.

Chester Ray Pendley

Chester Ray Pendley, 86, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 2, 1934 to the late Edgar and Golden Engler Pendley.  Chester was retired from the United States Air Force and the Green River Boys Camp where he was the business manager.  His favorite past time was farming.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Ann Pendley and brother Justice Pendley.

Bobby Joe Johnson

Bobby Joe Johnson, 57, of Beaver Dam, Ky. passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 23, 2020.  He was born in Bowling Green, Ky. on Oct. 28, 1962 to the late Joe and Novice West Johnson.  He was a member of Leonard Oak Baptist Church and was a brick and block layer.  He loved his family, drinking coffee, watching Westerns and riding thru the country.  Among those who preceded him in death are his parents and sisters Donna Mersing and Janet Smith.
