Kurtis “Kurt” Ray Peak, 39, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Louisville, Ky. on Apr. 29, 1982.

Bernice "B" House Gill, age 95 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away peacefully, Friday, December 17, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family and friends. Bernice was born on Saturday, October 30, 1926 in Butler County, KY to the late Brodie Everett and Bridge O'Flarity House and wife of the late Willie Burr Gill. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and retired Big D Coalmines. Bernice loved spending time with family, friends and cooking with her grandchildren.

Madison “Maddie” Elaine Cardwell, age 20, of Bowling Green, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Warren County, Kentucky on September 25, 2001.  She was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church.  Maddie was a Customer Service Representative for Old Dominion Freight Line in Bowling Green, Ky.

Olive Carson Cook, age 104 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence. Carson was born on Monday, December 18, 1916 in Butler County, KY to the late Henry and Oma Neel Rock and wife of the late Maburn Cook. She was the oldest member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and the Gideon Auxiliary. Carson was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved gardening, sewing and cooking. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one grandson Marcus Miller, raised as a brother Bro. Raymond Ward and one sister Grace Wilson.

Jason Todd Smith, Age 45, Passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 in Morgantown, Ky. Jason was born Wednesday, October 13, 1976 in Panorama City, CA to Lawrence T. and Barbara A. Sullivan Smith who survive. Jason was employed by Kroger Industries and a member of First Baptist of Mt. Healthy. He was an Optician for many years. Jason graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in 2002 and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008 with a Masters of Divinity. He enjoyed spending time with his children and loved playing and watching basketball, grilling, music and shooting pool. 

Harold Everett Lane, 78, of Leitchfield, Ky. passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Louisville, Ky. on Jan. 12, 1943 to the late Faye Shepherd Edwards. He was an electrician and a rodeo roper.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Harold is survived by his companion of 9 years, Sandra Maxson of Leitchfield; a son and a daughter.

Sheila Ann Childres age 62 of Morgantown Ky, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at her residence. Sheila was born Monday, February 9, 1959 in Bowling Green, Ky to the late Sam Jr. and LouAnn Brooks Cardwell. She was a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Sheila enjoyed working puzzles, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Ada Joyce Williamson, 76, of Owensboro, Ky, went home to be with Jesus and her family on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh IN due to injuries from a car accident on October 6, 2021. Joyce was born March 23, 1945 in Hawesville, KY to the late Forrest and Veva Falls Williamson. Joyce was an avid fan of yard sales and loved to find treasures in other's cast offs. Over the years she had several booths at many locations. Joyce loved to cook, enjoyed others eating her cooking, weaving stories and memories around the dishes she served.

Richard “Ricky” Dean Burden, 69, of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Butler County on March 21, 1952 to Edgar and Opal Cox Burden. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, was a deck hand and Pilot of a Riverboat. Rick loved to fish and play horseshoes. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Burden and sister Louise Burden.

Tony Oneil Cardwell age 55, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  He was born on July 17, 1966 in Bowling Green to Virginia and Otis Cardwell.  Tony retired from Southern Sealing and Striping, loves motorcycles and shooting his guns. He is preceded in death by his parents and sons Steven and Cory Cardwell.
