Nicholas Ray Dockery

Nicholas Ray Dockery, age 31 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 in Morgantown, KY. He was born on Wednesday, May 2, 1990 in Bowling Green, KY to Phillip Dockery and Debbie Embry Geary who survives. Nicholas enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved being a daddy to his boys. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Hester Ray and Roxie Dockery; maternal grandparents Ronald Embery, Debra Kay and Ronnie Lee; one brother Austin Lane Dockery and one uncle Scottie "Fatsy" Embry.

Sherman Ray Bailey

BELTON – Sherman Ray Bailey, age 80, of Belton died Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 4:45 p.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.  Mr. Bailey was born July 12, 1941 in Muhlenberg County and was a retired truck driver at Wetterau Trucking Company.  He was also, a member of New Midway Missionary Baptist Church.  Sherman was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Bailey; son Sherman Glynn Bailey; parents Auber and Geneva Bailey; brothers Sammuel Bailey, Aubery Bailey, Jr., Marvin Bailey and Larry Bailey.

Freda Clark Embry

Freda Clark Embry died on September 29, 2021, of complications from cancer at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Gerald A. Embry, her parents Joseph and Lura Clark, brothers Douglas Clark, Albert Clark, and Lawrence Clark, and sister Doris Jane Virtucio. Freda leaves behind her adoring children: Robin E. Embry of Morgantown, Kentucky; Sheila E. Embry of Morgantown, Kentucky; Cynthia E. Britt of Louisville, Kentucky, and Laura E. Hoffman of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Tony "Red" Abbott, age 55 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Greenview Regional Hopital in Bowling Green, KY. Red was born on Friday, March 25, 1966 in Butler County, KY to the late William Otho and Marth Neely Abbott. He was a lifetime member of The North American Hunting Club and The National Wild Turkey Federation. Red was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed Jeep trail riding, gun sports and hunting and fishing.

Donna Marie (Stanley) Elmer, age 58 of Morgantown, KY passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 after a courageous fight against cancer this year. Donna was born on Sunday, September 15, 1963 in Gary, Indiana.

Donna enjoyed working at Walgreens as a pharmacy technician in Morgantown, KY. She was an active member at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She served as a Lector and taught both RCIA and Children’s Faith Formation classes. Donna loved working with the children of the parish.

Betty Frances Davis Hammers, age 88, of Rochester, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Southern Kentucky Hospice House in Bowling Green.  She was born in Evansville, IN on Sept. 18, 1933 to the late Richard and Mattie Coleman Davis.  Betty was a member of New Midway Church and a longtime treasurer of the Rochester Cemetery.  She retired from the Butler Co.

Jo Karen Baucum Bratcher, age 58, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  She was born in Jefferson Co., Ky. on Aug. 31, 1963.  Jo Karen was a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and was a Homemaker.  She worked at Sumitomo for 14 years and enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her family and her grandbabies.  She is preceded in death by her father Bill Baucum; husband Artie Wayne Bratcher; son Scott Bratcher; father and mother-in-law Artie and Polly Bratcher.

Terry G. Allen, age 61 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Terry was born on Friday, June 10, 1960 in Bowling Green, KY to the late James Ed and Winifred Jean Smith Goodall. She was a member of Rock Spring Missionary Baptist Church and WMU. Terry enjoyed collecting antiques, spending time with family and friends, especially her grandsons. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her father in law Hayward Allen.

Zelphia Woosley Shain, age 90, of, Jetson, Ky., passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.  She was born in Jetson, Ky. on July 3, 1931 to the late Role and Leora Brooks Woosley.  Zelphia was a member of Temple Hill General Baptist Church and a Homemaker.  She enjoyed planting flowers and taking care of them.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ertest Shain; daughter Kathy Shain.
