Brenda Forgy Huff Wilkes

Brenda Forgy Huff Wilkes, 67 of Haines City, Florida died on Monday, May 20, 2013, at her home where she passed peacefully in her sleep.

She was born Tuesday, April 30, 1946 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Wilson Forgy and the late Beulah Wooldridge Forgy. She was the wife of David Wilkes who survives.

She had been employed by Disney World and was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church.


Mary Jean Clark Cardwell

Mary Jean Clark Cardwell, 53  of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green. Mrs. Cardwell was born February 22, 1960 in Hopkins County, to the late Bunt Aaron Clark and Wilma Christine Cardwell-Clark.  She was a homemaker and a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church. Mary liked to read, watch music videos and listen to Elvis and Country Music.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Peg Willoughby and Shirley Harris.


Ada Loretta Embry

Ada Loretta Embry, 82 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. in Morgantown, Ky. Ada was born February 2, 1931 in Butler County, Ky. to the late John William and Essie Coates Embry and wife of the late Buck Embry. She was a member of Chapel Union Baptist Church and homemaker.
Ada Loretta Embry is survived by her son Dink Embry of Morgantown, Ky.; 2 brothers Jerry Embry wife Connie of Morgantown, Ky. and Damon C. Embry wife Barbara of Louisville, Ky.


Shelby Jean Martin

Shelby Jean Martin, age 75 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown, Ky.  Ms. Martin was born November 16, 1937 in Butler County, to the late Webby Martin and Sarah Bell Cardwell Martin.  Shelby loved music, making key chains and good food. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Ross Phelps, brothers John Porter and Jerry Martin, and sisters Sarah Ann Martin and Murline Fulton.


William C. Embry

PO1 William C. Embry, USN Ret., 76, of Dunedin, FL passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 in Safety Harbor, FL.

W.C. was born December 27, 1936 in Butler County, KY to the late Troy and Rosie Embry of Morgantown, KY. He was a retired US Navy veteran and was an avid member of his local gun club.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John L. Embry and a sister, Joyce "Louise" Embry. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dianna; daughter, Diane Embry of Dunedin; sister, Carolyn Holman of Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and a nephew.


Anna Gearldine Lewis Moore

Anna Gearldine Lewis Moore, 84  of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. after a lengthy illness.  Ms. Moore was born September 20, 1928 in Warren County, to the late William H. Chaffin and Lola Lee King Chaffin.  She was a Seamstress and of the Baptist faith.  She loved to quilt, needle craft, the fall of the year and was a NASCAR fan.   She was preceded in death by her parents , two Sons David Lewis and William R. Lewis, and brother-in-law Charles Byrns


Lester Daugherty

Lester Daugherty, age 96 of Bowling Green, Ky passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his residence.  The Ohio County native was the son of the late Shelby and Yettie White Daugherty and husband of the late Hazel Daugherty. He was also preceded in death by five sons, Tinkle, Claude, Claudie, Clayton and Jimmy Daugherty; three sisters, Dorine Evans, Katherine Allen, Louise Goodman; two brothers, Chester and Mayburn Daugherty; and two grandchildren.


Erdine Smith Johnson

Erdine Smith Johnson, 88 of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Ky. Erdine was born May 6, 1925 in Butler County, Ky. to the late Girlie Lee and Dewey Mae Ingram Smith. She was a faithful member of Lehman Avenue Church of Christ in Bowling Green, Ky., homemaker and beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her twin sister Pauline Smith, Eva Forsythe and Margie Vance. Donald Wayne Stinson, Sr.

Donald Wayne Stinson, Sr., 71 of Dunmor, Kentucky died on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Baptist Health of Madisonville in Madisonville, Kentucky.

He was born Friday, September 19, 1941 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, the son of the late Roy Stinson and the late Nellie Clark Stinson. He was the husband of Sue Saddler Stinson, who survives.

He was a coal miner and a member of Mt. Moriah Church of Christ.


Shirley Wayne West

Shirley Wayne West, 72 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his residence. Shirley was born November 20, 1940 in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Hubert and Myrtle Stewart West. He was a member of Valley Station Church of Christ and retired from Philip Morris in Louisville, Ky. He was preceded in death by one brother William West; brother in- laws Delmus Johnson and Jerry Embry; father and mother in- law Hesbie and Helen Embry and sister in- law Judy Longhenry.
