Victor Scott Allen

Victor Scott Allen, 59, of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18 at Signature Health Care in Hartford. He was born on February 6, 1960 to Willard “Woody” Allen and Neoma Duke. As a teenager Scott played Butler Co. High School basketball and football. He attended Saint Edwards University in Austin, Tx. Scott worked for the Courier Journal for many years and had a band called the Renegade Ramblers.  He is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents Orville and Bertha Allen and Nolvis Duke and Delma Curtis.

Scott Wayne Bratcher

Scott Wayne Bratcher, 33, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, August 19 in Butler Co. Ky.,  He was born on November 5, 1985 in Warren Co. Ky. to the late Artie Wayne Bratcher and Jo Karen Bratcher (who survive). Scott liked to work on cars, fish and ride motorcycles.  He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents Artie and Sallie Bratcher.

Glenn Gardner

Glenn Gardner, 84, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019. He was born in Dunbar, Ky. on Oct. 2, 1934 to the late Aaron and Pearl Dukes Gardner.  He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Evansville, In., retired from Chrysler Industries, loved cattle farming, hunting and taking pictures of deer.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Margie Finch and Jewel Mazine Gardner; brothers Tom, Harold and Jim Gardner.

Grace Marilyn Park Marksberry

Grace Marilyn Park Marksberry, 83 of Russellville, died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at her home. Marilyn was born January 2, 1936 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, the second daughter to Roscoe and Evelyn Park. She was a 1954 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. After working a few years in Louisville, she moved to Owensboro and worked a few years as a secretary.

Floyd Wilsey Webster

Floyd Wilsey Webster, 74, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1945 to the late Azro and Thelma Phelps Webster.  Floyd worked in manufacturing and loved to fish, hunt and watch westerns.  He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Elizabeth Moran, Clara Biddle; two brothers William C. Webster and Carlos L. Webster.

 Paul S. Burden, 78 of Sellersburg, IN., Louisville KY., and Butler Co. KY. passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in Butler County, KY. Paul was born September 5, 1940 in Butler County, KY to the late Sanders and Gracie Flener Burden and husband of the late Evalia O. Rogers Burden. He was a member of Barnett's Lick Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Kurfees Coating,in Louisville, KY. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, living life to the fullest, with always having a smile on his face, and always having a funny joke to tell.

Michael David Henderson, 67 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY. He was born February 26, 1952 in Butler County, KY to the late Ertest Fay and Doreen Telford Henderson. Michael was a member and elder at Morgantown Cumberland Presbyterian Church and past president of BCHS Band Boosters.

Ruby Shoemaker Porter

Ruby Shoemaker Porter, 89 of the Huntsville-Quality Rd., Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at the Greenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. 

She was born Monday, November 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Roy Shoemaker and the late Eunice Coursey Shoemaker. She was the wife of the late Joe Porter. 

She had been employed at a Coal Company as an Administrative Assistant and was a member of Quality Baptist Church.

Charles Forest Ingram, Sr.

Charles Forest Ingram, Sr., 89, went peacefully to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 11th, 2019. Charles was the loving husband of Mildred Louise Ingram (Bowers) for 70 years and devoted father of 6 children. He was also a respected leader in the local community, participating in events ranging from high school career days to presidential visits. Charles was born March 13th, 1930 in Cleaton, Kentucky to the late Charlie Quitman and Violet Virtura Ingram. He graduated from Bevier-Cleaton High School in 1946 at the age of 16, enlisting in the Air Force two years later.

Kevin Jenkins

Kevin Jenkins, 52 of Leitchfield, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY. He was born September 14, 1966 in Butler County, KY to Truman Jenkins and the late Alice West Jenkins. Kevin was a  registered nurse at the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital and enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a avid outdoors man who enjoyed getting his hand dirty and loved helping others .  Other than his mother he is preceded in death by his grandmother Carmen Richardson.
