James William Oberhausen

James William Oberhausen, 84 of Davis Crossroads, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. James was born August 18, 1935 in Logan County, KY to the late George Lasley and Ruby Mae Prater Oberhausen. He was a retired logger, owner and operator of Oberhausen Logging and was a born again Christian. James loved fishing, farming and Bluegrass music.

Paula Miller, 49, of Quality, KY., passed away Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Owensboro Regional Hospital. Paula was born August 31, 1970, in Logan Co., Ky., to Sandy Burden Carrol and William Sanford who survive. Paula was a Member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed life and her dog Sassy. Paula is preceded in death by one son, Nathaniel Gordon, maternal grandparents, Rev. Elmer and Oma Burden, two uncles; Rev. Jimmy Burden and George Moore and a cousin Timmy Burden.

Phyllis J. Embry, 78, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Phyllis was born June 8, 1941, in McCracken Co., Ky., to the late Paul and Jerlene Lee (Jerri) Jackson. Phyllis was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and past president of the Butler Co. Arthritis Foundation. She was Registered Nurse, retiring as Plant Nurse of Sumitomo. Phyllis Loved to travel, Play softball and spend time with family and friends.

Jackie L. Burnette, age 70, of Morgantown KY, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at her residence in Morgantown under the care of her family and Hospice of Southern KY. She was born on January 28, 1949 in Butler County, KY to the late Vernon Ray and Golda Embry Calloway. Jackie attended Olaten Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Perdue in Cromwell KY. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.

Mary Ruth “Ruthie” Henderson, 64, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was born in Morgantown, Ky. on Jan. 31, 1955 to the late Leamon Sr. and Ilean Howard Henderson.  Ruthie was owner/operator of CNH Enterprises. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William Joe Hancock; son Jessie Benonie “JB” Hancock and sister Ramona Cardwell.

Lindon C. Daugherty, 88 of Brandenburg, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Brandenburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Lindon was born October 2, 1930 in Butler County, KY to the late Roma F. and Buena Embry Daugherty and husband of the late Melvolia Blanch Hunt Daugherty. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and Happiness Way Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He loved gospel music and was the founder of the Canaan Land Quartet & the By Standers. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by three children Lindon C.

Tina Renee' Cardwell, 55 of Jetson, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 31, 1963 in Louisville, KY to Jimmy and Christine Whittinghill Flener who survives. Tina was a member of Crossland Community Church and was the purchase agent for 30 plus years at SST Midpark formerly Morgantown Manufacturing and owner of Christina's Monogram designs. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Neal Ray Kirby

Neal Ray Kirby, 70, of Quality, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He was born in Butler Co. on January 17, 1949 to the late J.W. Kirby and Gertie White Kirby.  Neal was of  the Missionary Baptist Faith.  He worked in the Coal Mines for 35 years and in road construction.
