Latnie E. Geary

Latnie E. Geary, 83, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 at the Heartford House Hospice of Western Kentucky.  He was born in Welchs Creek, Ky. on Feb. 6, 1937 to the late Elic and Etta Embry Geary.  Latnie was a farmer and retired from General Electric.  He loved taking care of his cattle and gardening.  Latnie will be fondly remembered by his knee slapping laugh and smile.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Delphie Geary and Vivia Casey; brother Vernie Geary and nephew Jerry Casey.

Katherine "Kathy" Carol Cardwell Thomas

Katherine “Kathy” Carol Cardwell Thomas, 70, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away at the Hopkins Center in Woodburn, Ky. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020.  Kathy was born in Brownsville, Ky. on November 7, 1949 to the late Carl D. Cardwell and Helen Smith Thornburg.  She was a waitress at Ryan's Steakhouse, loved antiques and was a fan of Marilyn Monroe.  Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; son Brian Lang and a grandson.

Jackie Phelps

Jackie Phelps, 50, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away at her residence on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020.  Jackie was born in Goshen, Indiana on May 30, 1970.   Jackie was a part time beautician. She is preceded in death by her mother Sharon Coleman; grandchildren twins Roen and Lukas Troxell.

Karen Ann Henderson

Karen Ann Henderson, 64, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Karen was born July 15, 1956 in Clarkson, Kentucky to the union of Loy D. and Olivia Flener Hatcher. She was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and a homemaker. Karen taught at Oak Ridge Christian Academy for 12 years, loved spending time with friends and family and serving others. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one nephew - Aaron Bratcher and her mother-in-law, Wilma Beasley.

Gloria Lee Gates

Gloria Lee Gates, 77 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday September 14, 2020 at her residence. Gloria was born May 8, 1943 in Man, West Virginia to the late Harold Taft and Glayds Plummley Porter and wife of the late Kenneth Ray Gates. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a homemaker. Gloria loved to travel and spend time with family and especially her grandchildren.

Vonnie Flener Thomason

Vonnie Flener Thomason entered eternal life on Friday, September 11th.  She passed peacefully in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center ICU surrounded by family and friends.

Retha Louise Lindsey

Retha Louise Lindsey, 72 of Morgantown, KY passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Retha was born August 2, 1948 in Central City, Kentucky to the late Perry Kemp and Mary Margaret McIntosh O'Bannon. She was a homemaker and preceded in death by two daugthers Loretta Hardin and Lawanda Lindsey; one son Donald Earl Lindsey Jr.; sister Sharon Lindsey and son in law Gary Zoller.

Charles Anthony "Tony" Woodcock

Charles Anthony “Tony” Woodcock, 51, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020.  Charles was born in Gainesville, FL on April 25, 1969.  Charles was a diesel mechanic who worked with his father.  He enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing, go cart racing and riding motorcycles.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles O. and Evanell Woodcock, Clora Mae Cannon and Oval House.                

He is survived by his parents Charles E. and Colean House Woodcock; daughter Charleigh Grace Woodcock; special aunt Valerie Smith (Will) and lots of family and friends.

Jessie "Marge" Terry

Jessie "Marge" Terry, 88 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday September 9, 2020 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Marge was born February 28, 1932 in Beaver Dam, KY to the union of  Orval and Eva Allen Burden. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church, Army wife and a homemaker. Marge enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, and shopping. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one sister Dee Day.

Loretta F. Curtis

Loretta F. Curtis, 84, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020. She was born on April 20, 1936 to the late Foy C. and Flora Flener. Loretta was retired from the Phillip Morris Tobacco Company. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo Curtis; her son, James Eddy Curtis; her 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
