Margie Marie Jones Romans, 95 of Morgantown, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Margie was born on Thursday, May 7, 1925 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Hurbert and Mary House Jones and wife of the late Eligha Romans. She was a member of Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church and she loved her flowers, working crossword puzzles and playing cards.

Bobby Bray

Bobby Bray, 70, of Rochester, Ky., passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  He was born in Logan Co., Ky. on July 11, 1950 to the late Paul Douglas and Nellie Gibbs Bray.  He retired from Logan Aluminum where he was a Lab Technician.  He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher.  He enjoyed woodworking and playing golf.  Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ronnie and Charles Bray; sister Linda Lee.

William “Dudley” Baize

William “Dudley” Baize, 78, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on April 5, 1943 to the late William Pie and Edith Lucille Phelps Baize.   He attended Barnett’s Lick Baptist Church, loved watching the Three Stooges, drawing, fishing and spending time with his family.  Dudley is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerry Baize; sisters Laura Faye Baize and Linda Baize.

Marse Lindsey, 79 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his residence. Marse was born on Wednesday March 4, 1942 in Butler County, KY to the late Oval and Abaline Cardwell Lindsey. He attended Belmont General Baptist Church and was a farmer. Marse enjoyed taking care of his cattle, hunting and fishing. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one grandchild Dawson Wesley; great grandchildren Luke and Olivia King; two brothers Bobby and Billie Lindsey and one sister Diann Elms.

Wilma Jean Ward Oliver, 83 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Bowling Green, KY. Wilma was born on Friday, August 13, 1937 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Guy and Zeffie Fishburn Ward and wife of the late James Wilbur Oliver. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church, owner and operator of J&J Market in the Davis Crossroads Community for many years and she retired from the Kellwood Company. Wilma loved working, fishing, camping, boating and loved being with people, especially her family & friends.

Alford Phelps, Jr., 67, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his residence in Morgantown.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Sept. 10, 1953 to the late Alford Phelps, Sr. and Mae Renfrow Phelps.  Alfred retired from Emerson Electric. He was a Jehovah Witness and he loved to mow grass.

Beverly Ann Warden Gidcumb, 70, of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Auburn, Ky. on Nov. 7, 1950 to the late Dewvall and Oma Anderson Warden. She retired from Houchen’s Industries where she was a deli manager.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and cherished grandkids and talking on the phone with her friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jerry Wayne Wilson

Jerry Wayne Wilson, 74 of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Golden Living Center in Tell City, Indiana. He was born on March 27, 1947 in Butler County to the late Ray and Lorena Renfrow Wilson. Jerry was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Echols Baptist Church and he retired from the State of Kentucky where he worked as the manager of the toll plaza in Hartford.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Wilson.

Arvel Bratcher Jr.

Arvel Bratcher Jr. of Morgantown died peacefully in his sleep, with his wife Christine at his side, on April 24, 2020. He was born March 16, 1931, the oldest son of Arvel Sr. and Fanny Dellah Hawks of the Leonard Oak Community in Butler County, KY. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years Christine Pagel Bratcher, son Dennis (Sharon) Bratcher, daughters Donna Bratcher, Denise Bratcher, Danielle Bratcher, Bonnie (Eric Anderson) Conklin and Racine (Brad) Miller of Michigan.
