Kathy Williams

Kathenia (Kathy) Huntsman Williams, 61, was tragically killed in a car accident on Sunday, December 25, 2011.  She was called to Heaven by her Lord and Savior at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Day.  Kathy was born in Allen County on February 24, 1950 to the late James Norel Huntsman and Dorothy Sue Williams Huntsman, who survives.  She was a homemaker, former employee of General Electric, an alterations seamstress, employee of Greenwood High School where she worked with special needs children, former member of Mt.

KC Givens

KC Givens, age 63, of Alvaton,Ky., passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was a Butler County native, the son of the late JC and Ola Belilies Givens, retired truck driver, plant supervisor at Bluegrass Speciality Flooring, and a delivery driver for Klostermans Bakery. KC's passion was to work outside on the farm. He was loved and respected by all  he touched in his life and will be greatly missed by all.

Normagene Franzell

Normagene Woodcock Franzell, age 78, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011, at her residence.

She was born on February 10, 1933, in Butler Co., KY, the daughter of the late Luke and Caldonia Brooks Woodcock. She was retired from Vermont American.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger Dale and Judy Franzell of Caneyville, three sisters, Virginia Embry of Caneyville, Novelle Brown and Lubina Chamberlain both of Pee Wee Valley, KY.

Leon D. Embry age 70 of Leitchfield, KY passed away at his home Tuesday (December 20, 2011).

He was born on April 27, 1941 the son of the late Josh and Essie Coats Embry of Butler County, KY, He was a member of the Chapel Union Church, attended the Potters Hope Church in Leitchfield, he was retired from the Phar-Shar clothing factory as a machine mechanic and was a regular member of the Pine Knob Theater.

Ardith Ray Willis, 84 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Butler County native, son of the late Virge and Ora Phelps Willis. Mr. Willis was of the Church of Christ faith, a US Army Veteran, and retired logger in the timber industry. He was preceded in death by one daughter Shelby Jean Willis; brother J.C. Willis; 2 sisters Virgie Mae Elmore and Burdie Jane Raymer; grandson Travis Flener and 2 great grandsons Dakota Lynn Bryant and Jeremy Michael Smith.

Pearl Coots Flener Hess, 88 of Louisville, Ky. passed away Thursday Dec. 8th 2011 at the Episcopal Church Home with her family by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a member of the Stamp Society and the Post card Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Freeman Flener and Justin Hess. Preceded in death by one son Ronnie Lee; sister Nola Embry and 2 brothers William and Randal Phelps.

Eugene Lee, 81, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at his residence. He was a Butler County native, the son of the late Tona and Ora Flener Lee and husband of the late Sarah M. Phelps Lee for 62 years. Eugene was of the Church of Christ faith, an Army Veteran, a member of Reedyville Masonic Lodge, the Rizpah Shrine Temple, retired from Butler County Road Dept., a farmer and former owner of Lee’s Sorghum. Preceded in death by one son Ronnie Lee, one brother Wilmer Lee and 4 sisters Irene Flener, Imogene Morton, Glayds Beach and Faustine Sunderland.
