Gracie Renfrow

Gracie Marie Felty Renfrow, age 89, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab Center in Morgantown, KY.

The Butler County native was the daughter of the late Aaron Lushas Felty and Ada Helen Dockery Felty. She was retired from GE where she worked as an Assembly Operator. She was also a member and Sunday School Teacher at Chapel Union Baptist Church.

Robert Lee Beasley

Robert Lee Beasley, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (January 7, 2012) at the Western Kentucky Veteran’s Center in Hanson, Kentucky.

He was born on June 27, 1926, in Butler Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Wayne and Nola Lindsey Beasley. He was a retired boilermaker and maintenance supervisor for the TVA, a member of Boilermaker Local Union # 40, the Caneyville Masonic Lodge # 631, an Army veteran of World War II, where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star and was a member of the Caneyville Christian church.

Mary Pierce

Mary Gladys Pierce, age 86, of Beaver Dam, KY died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY.

She was born on September 21, 1925 in Breckinridge County, KY to the late Mac Roy Payton and Lenora Armes Payton. Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker and a member of Clear Run Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Pierce on January 22, 1997, one son, James Louis Pierce on December 18, 1977 and one brother, Roy H. Payton on January 7, 2007.

Ada Woodcock

Ada Bell Woodcock, 100, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Twin Lakes Regional Hospital in Leitchfield, Ky.

The Grayson County native was born Sept. 4, 1911, daughter of the late Jackson "Poppa" and Martha King Embry and wife of the late Rev. Wiley B. Woodcock. She was a faithful member of Free Union General Baptist Church (Old Decker) and a homemaker.

Rev. Edward T. Dermitt

Rev. Edward T. Dermitt, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

He was born January 27, 1926, in Grayson Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Homer and Marion Green Dermitt. Along with his sons, he started the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield in 1969 and at the Caneyville location in 1971. He was also a United Baptist Minister, an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge and a member of the Claggett United Baptist Church.

Debra Faye Holland McKenney, 59 of Louisville, Ky passed away Friday December 30, 2011 at her residence. She was a Muhlenburg County native, daughter of the late Dewey and Barbara Geary Belcher who survives. She was an employee of Family Fun Center on Fern Vally Rd.  Preceded in death by one son Greg McKenney.

Herold J.Harrison,87 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his residence.  He was a Butler County native, son of the late Verner and Varah Harper Harrison, and a member of Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church.  He was retired Oil Field and Rochester Boat Dock worker and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Paul Harrison.
