Deadline to Change Voter Registration for May Primary is Dec. 31st

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is reminding registered voters who wish to vote in another party’s May 2018 Primary Election or be a candidate as a member of another political party in the 2018 elections that they must change their registration no later than Dec. 31, 2017.

Pursuit spanning over two counties ends in arrest

Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor was involved in a high-speed pursuit which ended in Ohio County near Beaver Dam.  Taylor attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by persons believed to have been involved in an altercation, which occurred at Hood's Market.

Toys for Tots 2017

Through the Morgantown Mission,  Family Resource Center, and the Youth Services Center, Toys for Tots facilitated Christmas arrangements for almost 238 children in Butler County.  To participate in the Toys for Tots parents/caregiver had to participate in 3 enrichment opportunities to earn toys for their family.  The Butler County program changed requirements this year and modeled the changes after successful Christmas Assistance programs in surrounding communities.

Energy reports, test scores among topics discussed at Board of Education meeting

The Butler County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Butler County Education Complex. Board members Amy Hood, Debbie Hammers, Aimee Sanders, and Ryan Daugherty were in attendance; Delbert Johnson was unable to attend.
