Solomon Flener wins BCMS Geography Bee

Butler County Middle School held its annual National Geographic Geography Bee on Friday, December 15. 8th grader Solomon Flener was the last student standing, edging out Blake Tomes in the final competition. Flener will advance to state competition.

Other participants were 8th graders Rylan Shumway, Zach Roberts, Ian Moore, Ellie Martin, Colten Glass, Presley Gallagher, Alex Coleman, and Trenton Bryant. These finalists earned the right to compete in the school-wide geography event following classroom competition.

7th grade history teacher Colten Cardwell organized the geography bee. Former BCMS history teacher Becky Mudd was the moderator of the event.
