Hello, Butler Countians.  I am Mark Mudd, candidate for Butler County Judge/Executive. I am married to Rebecca(Becky) Flener Mudd, a retired Butler County teacher; and we have one son, Jacob, a senior at WKU majoring in Business.

The Morgantown City Council held their regular monthly meeting on July 12 at the Eva J. Hawes Building.  Council members Sterling White, Jason Gaskey, Russell Givens, Sharon Johnson, and Dustin Embry were in attendance. 

Sherry Johnson, Butler County Clerk, pursuant to KRS 424.130, has released the 2017 Delinquent Real Property Tax Bills ( Certificates of Delinquent)

The Circuit Court Clerk offices in 59 Kentucky counties received a celebration in the form of popcorn as a special “thank you” gift for their donation rates in support of the Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks’ Trust For Life (TFL).  

The Butler County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, July 10, at the Butler County Education Complex. All board members were in attendance. District Finance Officer Eric Elms gave his monthly treasurer’s report.  He reported that the balance at the beginning of June was $2,676,507.41, and the end-of-the-month balance was $1,584,908.70.  Elms informed the board that a change had been made to the pay schedule.  The first check of a new school year will be on August 15th now, instead of August 30th.
