United Way announces over $25K in funding for Butler County

United Way of Southern Kentucky announced yesterday that it is investing a total of $25,200 in Education, Health, and Safety Net programs and services for its July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 funding period in Butler County. 12 local programs provided through 8 service providers will receive the allocated campaign dollars and donor designations.

U.S. Bank's Handbags for Hope Purse Auction presented by Erie Insurance was held June 21st at the Sloan Convention Center (1021 Wilkinson Trace, Bowling Green). During this silent and live auction of designer purses, attendees were treated to hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and a selection of over 50 items to bid on throughout the evening. As a result of the event, over $81,500 was donated representing a more than $24,500 increase over what was raised in the previous year.
