Michael Dwight Lindsey

Michael Dwight Lindsey, age 73, of Bowling Green, KY peacefully departed this life at home surrounded by his family and close friends on Monday, July 13, 2020.  The Edmonson County native was born November 10, 1946 to the late Johnny Marshall Lindsey and Chloie Agnes Webb Lindsey.  He was married to his devoted wife and caretaker,  Eleanor Kay Skaggs Lindsey, who survives.

Darrell Wayne Jones, 68 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday July 15, 2020 at his residence. Darrell was born April 7, 1952 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Paul William and Polley Elizabeth Adkins Jones. He was a United States Seabee Veteran Navy & Marines, member of the American Legion and of the Christian faith.

Hettie Williams, 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tn.  Hettie was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Feb. 14, 1935 to the late Elvis Pete and Dicie Smith Williams.  She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.  She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, fishing and coon hunting.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Penny Johnson; two grandchildren Samantha Johnson and Amanda Johnson; brothers Wiggie Smith, Elzie Hoops and Jimmy Smith; twin sister Nettie Basham.

Lula McKinney Givens

Lula McKinney Givens, 88 of Quality, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her residence. Lula was born August 31, 1931 in the Quality Community of Butler County to the union of the late Fredrick Travis and Mary Angelene Wester McKinney and married the late Denzel Lee Givens on April 14, 1947. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker / farmer. Lula loved gardening, quilting and spending time with family and friends. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son Roger Givens and one sister Annie May Arnold.

David L. Woosley

David L. Woosley,74, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  David was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Dec. 4, 1945 to the late Charles and Kathleen Embry Woosley.  He was the owner and operator of Woosley Used Cars, later Woosley Auto Sales and Salvage with his son, David E.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Ann Woosley and granddaughter Nevaeh Woosley.

He was born March 24, 1945 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of the late Hilrie and Littie Evelyn Embry Pharris and husband of 27 years to the late Marilyn Joyce Pharris.

Patricia retired from Sumitomo Corporation in Morgantown and was a member of Friendship Church of Christ in Fordsville.

Ray Hawkins

Ray Hawkins, 68, of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, July 6, 2020, in Morgantown, KY. Ray was born September 12, 1951, to the union of Lewis and Goldie Pendley Hawkins. He was a Nelson Pentecostal Church member in Central City, KY, and a retired heavy equipment operator and coal miner. Ray loved fishing and his family, and they were always a top priority. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by father and mother in law Charlie and Mary Lou Gill; two brothers-in-laws Gail Huff and Greg Gill and one sister in law Alice Hawkins.
