The 2016 Butler County Stockman’s Association Cattle Sale is now in the books. It was considered a huge success bringing in $74,634. There were 42 heifers and 4 bulls sold during the annual auction. The average sale price for animals that were sold was just under $1,800. Buyers came from across the state to bid on some of the best breeding stock available in our area. One buyer came from southern Illinois and went home with 3 new heifers for his herd. Farmers that consigned animals to the sale were from Butler, Ohio, Muhlenberg and Edmonson counties.
