Girl Scout Troop #1435 would like to thank the Butler County/Morgantown Community, IGA Store, and all the volunteers for helping with their cookie booth on Saturday. We sold a lot of cookies, and could not have done it without your help. We will be at Save A Lot on West G.L.

Saturday night, February 27, there was a chili cook-off held at the Rochester Community Building to benefit the Rochester Fire Department. There were 130 people in attendance. David Martin won Best Chili. I had a bowl and can definitely tell you it was hot! David received a $50 from IGA.

On February 19th, several farmers from Butler County traveled to the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. The group of 43 people traveled to Louisville aboard a bus sponsored by the Butler County Farm Bureau.

Sixth grader Ethan Clark was the last man standing on Friday, February 5, at the annual Butler County Middle School Spelling Bee. Clark was one of twelve participants who advanced to the school-wide bee following classroom competition. Hezikiah Pendley, also a sixth grader, was runner-up.
