William Jackson "Jay" Woodcock

William Jackson "Jay" Woodcock, 68 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hospice of Southern Ky Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Jay was born June 15, 1945 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Rev. Wiley B. and Ada B. Embry Woodcock. He was a member of Old Decker Free Union Baptist Church, Reedyville Masonic Lodge #432, a shriner and retired carpenter. He is preceded in death by one daughter Rhonda Deweese; one sister Ellar Phelps; two brothers Hillard Woodcock and Wiley Woodcock Jr.

William Jackson "Jay" Woodcock is survived by his wife Ruby Hall Woodcock of Morgantown, Ky; one daughter Tonya Kay Pannell and husband James of Morgantown, Ky.; three sons Roger Dale Woodcock and wife Sherry of Roundhill, Ky., Hillard Jay Woodcock and wife Michaela of Jetson, Ky. and Tracy Lee Woodcock and wife Regina of Morgantown, Ky.;three sisters Dorothy Hudson of Morgantwon, Ky., Lucy House Davenport of Louisville, Ky. and Sue Newton and husband Darrell of Clarkson, Ky.; son in- law Jeff Deweese of Morgantown, Ky.;14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, April 21, 2014 at 3:00pm with Bro. Kenneth Raymer officiating. Burial will be in the Woodcock Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2014 from 12:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday, April 21, 2014 from 8:00am until funeral time at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
