Nancy Jane Messamore Embry

Nancy Jane Messamore Embry, 76 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday January 28, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY with her family by her side with love, prayers and her favorite hymnals. Nancy was born August 14, 1943 in Davies County, Kentucky to the union of James Alvey and Lucy Lanham Messamore. She married her high school sweetheart Rev. Dallace Timothy Embry on June 28, 1961 and by 1970 they was blessed with 7 children. Nancy is a member of Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church, had a true gift for growing beautiful flowers, loved working jigsaw puzzles and shopping for a good bargain. She had a special love for orphaned animal from kittens to dogs that her children would drag in or the numerous critters her husband brought home. Nancy loved to take cruises with her church family but her greatest joy in life was her children, great grandchildren two of which she raised as her own and her great grandchildren with a special place Lyndzee who brought much delight to her mammaw and pappaw. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter Shelly Costello and one grandson Tyler Embry.
 
Nancy Jane Embry is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Rev. Dallace Timothy Embry of Morgantown, KY; six children John Embry of Morgantown, KY, James Embry (Julie) of Evansville, Indiana, Sherry Woodcock (Roger) of Roundhill, KY, Shelia Hudson (Ricky) of Morgantown, KY, Bro. Tony Embry (Misty) of Jetson, KY and Sharon Logsdon (Wayman "Buck") of Morgantown, KY, son in-law Eddie Costello of Morgantown, KY; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one sister Mildred Capps (Wayne) of Owensboro, KY; multitude of nieces and nephews and her fur baby Elsa. 
 
Funeral services will be held at the Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church Thursday January 30, 2020 at 1:00pm with her son Bro. Tony Embry  and family friend Bro. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Cemetery where John Embry, Matt Hudson, Zack Embry, Jordan Embry, Tim, Brent and Sam Logsdon who will serve as pallbearers . Visitation will be held on Thursday January 30, 2020 from 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church.
