Mary Parks Givens, age 82, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  She was born on Aug. 15, 1941 in Daviess Co., Ky.  She was of the Church of Christ faith and worked at Caldwell Leather for many years.  Following its closing they started Warren’s Leather Shop, where they worked until Warren’s passing.   She later worked at Triple C Leather Company for many years until she retired. Mary enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens, mowing her yard, feeding the hummingbirds and talking with her friends on the phone. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie “William” and Della Mae Hunt Parks and husband William “Warren” Givens; companion Lincoln Phelps.

She is survived by her sister Nancy Vincent of Morgantown, Ky.; step-son Dale Givens of Russellville, Ky., sister-in-law Linda Givens Phelps of Morgantown, Ky.; brother-in-law Dodson Givens (Irene) of Morgantown, Ky.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at 1:00pm with Bro. Murl Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Thursday from 9:00am until 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
