Hershel Ray Lacefield, 26, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away July 11, 2014 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. Hershel was born Feb 18, 1988 in Hardin County, to Cecilia Rue Whitaker Kesler and the late Michael Don Lacefield. He loved to draw and spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father , brother Mitchell Jay Lacefield, uncle Billy Whitaker and grandparents Charles and Wanda Whitaker, Hershel and Azalee Lacefield.

He is survived by his mother Cecilia Kesler of Morgantown; two brothers Matthew Don Lacefield and Cody Vaughn Kesler both of Morgantown; cousins Angel, James and Jacob Whitaker all of Morgantown; two uncles Mark Lacefield of Shepherdsville, Ky. Charles Hugh Whitaker, Jr. of Morgantown

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro Ray Smith and Bro. Charles Smith officiating . Burial will follow in the Welches Creek "Woodcock" Cemetery . Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 2 pm-9pm and Wednesday, July16, 2014- 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
