George (Sonny) Hubert Lockhart Jr., 59, of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Russellville, KY native was born a son of Wilda Marie Pennington Lockhart and the late George Hubert Lockhart Sr. He is preceded in death by a sister, Paula Marie Lockhart Hood and a brother, Jeffrey Martin Lockhart.

Mr. Lockhart was a HVAC technician and a graduate of Western Kentucky University. He was a member of Iva Baptist Church.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Survivors include his mother, Wilda Marie Pennington Lockhart; one son, Kenneth Thomas Lockhart of Lexington, KY; one daughter, Leigh Ann Lockhart Scott (Stuart) of Munfordville, KY; one brother, Ricky Allen Lockhart (Mary Ann) of Morgantown, KY; one sister, Pamela Raye Lewis (Jimmie) of Bowling Green, KY; two grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Scott and Samuel Martin Scott of Munfordville, KY.
