Emmette Franklin Whitehead, age 79 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his residence. Emmette was born on Saturday, July 29, 1944 in Harrisburg, Mississippi to the union of the late Walter C. and Lula Mae Rhodes Whitehead. He attended Belmont General Baptist Church for 13 years and was a retired Mechanic and truck driver for J&J Trucking. Emmette loved doing wood working projects, hunting and fishing. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Perry Whitehead and one sister ZeraMae Morrow.  

Emmette Whitehead is survived by his wife Janet Marie Whitehead of Morgantown, KY; six children Dwana Whitehead of Madison, TN, twins Dewayne Whitehead of Morgantown, KY and Delores Skinner (Robert) of Morgantown, KY and triplet sons Dusty Whitehead (Tabby) of Morgantown, KY, David Whitehead of Peru,  IN and Daniel Whitehead (Allison) of Ft. Riley, KS; three step children Darla Amos (Terry) of Morgantown, KY, Ron Ingwersen (Leanne) of Denver, CO and Paul ngwersen (Charlotte) of Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; one brother David Whitehead of Texas and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:00am with Bro. TJ Howard officiating. Burial will be held in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens in Hendersonville, TN where Skyler Whitehead, Jeremy Evans, Robert Evans, Terry Amos, Tim Goff and Milton Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 6, 2023 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
