Donald Bryan "Don" Locke

Donald Bryan "Don" Locke, 87 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his residence. Don was born on Wednesday, June 28, 1933 in the New Cypress Community of Muhlenberg County, KY. He was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church and served as song leader for Morgantown First Baptist Church for many years. Don was a 2nd Lieutenant and pilot in the United States Air Force and a retired 30 year Agriculture Teacher for the Butler County Board of Education. He was also a weekly writing columnist for the Green River Republican, Butler County Banner, and Beech Tree News. Don loved writing, singing, and playing music with friends at nursing and retirement homes. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Joyce Locke and one brother Julian Locke.

Donald Bryan "Don" Locke is survived by his wife of 68 years Betty Ann Carver Locke of Morgantown, KY; one daughter Martha Ann Locke of Morgantown, KY; one son Bryan Driskill Locke, wife Jeanie, of Morgantown, KY; four grandchildren Betsy Wolfe of Louisville, KY, Katey Satterly, husband Victor, of Louisville, KY, Hunt Luther "Lute" Locke of Morgantown, KY and Annie Laten Locke of Morgantown, KY; one great grandson Everett Satterly of Louisville, KY and two nieces Cyndy Locke Watts, husband Neil, and Debby Locke Brooks, husband Ray, both of Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Hocker officiating. Burial will be held in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens where military rights will be observed by the Ohio County AMVets. Serving as pallbearers will be Lute Locke, Victor Satterly, David Hunt, John Hunt, Brody Hunt and Joe Morris. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. until funeral time at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
