DYER, Bobby R. "Bob" of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 after spending his last day surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born July 21, 1946 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of Claude and Reva Dyer. Bob served honorably in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He then worked in HVAC with H.S. Stevenson for 20 years before he started Dyer Heating and Cooling in 1991.
Survivors include his best friend Cheryl, whom he married August 17, 1972; sons Kraig (Hollie), Jeff, and Eric (Anna); grandchildren Megan, Adam, Chris, Zach, Emily, Brittany, Michael, and Josh; five great grandchildren; brother Elwood (Diane) of Morgantown, KY; sisters Kathy Dyer of Salyersville, KY, and Patty (PR) DeLong of Paintsville, KY; and 2 very special pets Bosley and Maddie.
Bob was a hard working man and was well respected by many. He will be missed by those who loved and knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday April 17, 2014 in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. A gathering of family and friends will be held for one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
