Richard D. Sublett, age 61, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Butler County on April 16, 1962.  Richard was a member of Old Decker Baptist Church.  Richard Trimmed Trees for Townsend Tree Service. He loved collecting ball cards, loved sports and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Sublett and Rachel Dunn Sublett; brother Randell Sublett, Ricky Sublett; sisters Michelle Poole and Virginia Kay Russ.

Edna Earl McKinney Goff, 88, passed away October 28, 2023 at Owensboro Health Hospital. She was born on March 20, 1935 in Quality, KY, to Pearl and Sallie McKinney. Predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Reathel Goff and her sister Lena Romans.

John Philip "Johnny" Dalton age 85 of Morgantown Ky., passed away on Sunday the 29th day of October, 2023 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown Ky. Johnny was born on Friday the 10th day of June, 1938 in Louisville Ky., to the union of the late Willie and Wava White Dalton and the husband of the late Nyla Faye Flener Dalton. He was the retired owner of Dalton Oil, a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church, past president of the Butler County Basketball boosters, and a member of the Cassia Masonic Lodge #272.

Horse Branch- Norman Gene Ferguson, 83, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab in Beaver Dam.  He was born in Grayson County, Kentucky on February 27, 1940, son of the late Thomas Woodrow and Jennie Whitehead Ferguson.

Diann P. Massey, age 77 of Quality, KY passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Diann was born on Tuesday, November 6, 1945 in Charles Town, West Virginia to the union of the late Pete L. Vine and Betty Jean Boggs Vine Rew. She was of the Baptist Faith and worked for Sumitomo Electric for 15 years. Diann enjoyed playing on the computer, working in her flowers, sewing and reading books.

Recie Dee Renfrow, age 86 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Dee was born on Friday, December 11, 1936 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Recil and Ruby Burden Embry. She was a member of Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Dee loved spending time with her family, fishing and going to church. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter in law Judy Renfrow, one sister Jean Felty, two brothers Adril and David Embry and one brother in law James Barks. 

Paul Junior Carroll, age 64, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Indianapolis, In. on June 9, 1959.  Paul was a member of the Crossroad Community Church in Beaver Dam, Ky.  He loved to fish and watch wrestling.  He was preceded in death by his parents Paul E. and Elizabeth Bingham Carroll; brothers Baron, Johnny and Ernest Carroll; sisters Freda Burris and Eva Givens.

Stella Marie Hack, age 58 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at her residence. Marie was born on Sunday, September 26, 1965 in Louisville, KY to the union of the late Cevil and Dorothy Dockery Embry and wife of the late Roger Dale Hack. She was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church and a retired store manager for Houchens Industries. Marie loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for her family and friends.

Barbara Jean Burden Colter, age 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, Oct. 20,2023 at her residence.  She was born on Oct. 4,1946 in Butler Co., Ky. to Silas and Della May Cox Burden. She was a member of Leonard Oak Baptist Church and retired from Foodland. Barbara loved to crochet potholders, embroidery, loved her dog Gizmo and voiced her love of the Lord daily. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David Colter; stepson Terry Slaughter; siblings Anna Lou Woosley, Raymond, Jerry and Ronnie Burden.

Thomas W. Carathers, age 69 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday August 4, 1954 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Charles and Julia Ann Kirby Carathers. Thomas loved tractors, watching western's, fishing and above all his little dog Bella. He always told the tallest tales in the state and if you knew something, he knew it better. His humor and stories will be missed by many. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his companion  Harriet Bratcher and one sister Anthylene Childress.
