Butler County United Methodist Women Taster's Luncheon was held on October 23rd, at the Morgantown First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. According to Elaine Daugherty over 126 different dishes were prepared by the ladies.

Butler County Schools celebrated National School Lunch Week October 12-16 with various activities at the school level. The theme this year was “School Lunch Snapshot” and participants were encouraged to promote school meals in a positive way via social media outlets.

Again this weekend there were several activities going on in Butler County.The Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department held a Fish Fry on Sunday afternoon.  Several came out to enjoy fish, fries, coleslaw, baked beans, and dessert.  All proceeds went to the Fire Department.
