Zoie House Wins 5K in Ohio County
Zoie House, a member of the Butler County Cross Country team was the first female to cross the finish line at the First Annual Love for Life 5K Run/Walk at the Ohio County park. The race was held to benefit the Hope for Life Womens Center in Beaver Dam, Ky. The Center's purpose is to support those facing unplanned pregnancies by equipping them through prayer, counseling, education, compassion and love.
Zoie finished with a time of 34:18. Josh Smith of Beaver Dam was the overall male winner with a time of 23:22. Kathy Lawrence, also a Butler County resident, won the walk with a time of 50:16. There were 20 runners and 19 walkers that participated in this event which was held last month on Saturday, September 20th.
