Butler County is home to a Best In Show winner at the Kentucky State Fair. Stacy Goodman Woosley's Cathedral Window Pillow was awarded Best In Show for Household Items.

"It has really been a fun experience. Next year find a category for you and enter the state fair! What a great piece of Americana," said Woosley.

Woosley also took first place for her Squash Relish.

Stacy got her squash relish recipe from her friend Kim Early.

Wash and chop 10 cups of squash

4 medium onions chopped

Add 5 teaspoons salt, and let stand in the fridge overnight

Add:

2 cups of vinegar, white, 5% acidity

6 cups of sugar

2 TBSP celery seed

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp turmeric

1tsp nutmeg

1 tsp dry mustard 

2 chopped bell peppers

Mix all ingredients and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Pack jars and process for 20 minutes.
