The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5837 will host the annual Memorial Day Program on May 29, 2017 at 11 am. The Memorial will be held on the Butler County Courthouse lawn.
Participating this year will be Butler County and Green River Chapter Daughters to the American Revolution also the General Butler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. The speaker will be Darlene Scott of the newly formed Butler County Kentucky Piecemakers.

Lawn chairs will be provided by the City of Morgantown, public address system by DeWayne Haynes. Please come and honor those that have given the ultimate sacrifice.
The VFW Post 5837 Auxiliary have had request for the 18” American Flags for veteran’s graves. Mayor Phelps has graciously allowed us to place the flags in his office for a centralized location for pickup. Thanks is advanced to City Hall.
