The Veterans of Foreign Wars' Operation Uplink is proud to sponsor free call days that will allow soldiers stationed in the Middle East to call home free from internet cafes.  Free call days provide service members a morale boosting and vital connection with family and friends while eliminating the financial burden many can't afford.  For a donation of $6.50 you can provide 10 service members a 15 minute call home.  In 2013-14, through the Free Call days and the distribution of virtual PINS to hospitalized veterans and service members, Operation Uplink provided over 160,000 connections totaling nearly 4 million minutes of talk time.  If you would like to donate to Operation Uplink or you have a veteran or service member who need the service, go to www.vfw.org/TroopSupport.
