Swedish Weaving Class Almost Full

There are only a few spots remaining for the upcoming Swedish Weaving Class scheduled for Wednesday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.  Class size is limited to 10 so if you would like to attend, please get your registration fee of $10 in as soon as possible.  The registration fee covers all supplies and instructor fee.  Once 10 participants have registered anyone else wanting to attend will be placed on a waiting list in case of cancellations.

Swedish weaving is a blend of darning, embroidery and weaving.  Using three basic materials -- cloth, embroidery floss or pearl cotton and a tapestry needle, you can create simple or ornate weaving designs on both ends of toweling or linens.  The cloth comes in several colors and one width.  Swedish weaving is a good embroidery process for a beginner.  If you are unsure of how Swedish weaving looks, we have several examples at the Extension Office so stop by.

For more information, contact the Butler County Extension Office at 112 East G L Smith Street, Morgantown or call 526-3767. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
