Rogers enters senior season with LWC Softball

COLUMBIA - The Lindsey Wilson College softball program features a former Butler County High School standout. BCHS graduate Amy Rogers is a senior catcher for the Blue Raiders.
Rogers, who bats right and throws right, transferred to Lindsey Wilson College from Lindenwood University-Belleville, a school located in Illinois. An experienced catcher, Rogers logged a start in one of Lindsey Wilson's first two games in the 2018 season. In her 2018 debut, Rogers delivered a hit and a run for the Blue Raiders.
Rogers started 52 games for the Blue Raiders as a junior in 2017. She batted .336 (51-of-152 at the plate) with one home run, 16 RBI, three doubles and 25 runs during the 2017 campaign. 
Lindsey Wilson competes in the Mid-South Conference, along with Campbellsville, Georgetown, Cumberland (Tenn.), Pikeville, Kentucky Christian, Shawnee State and Cumberlands (Ky.). 
Currently, Lindsey Wilson is ranked eighth in the nation. Prior to the first pitch in the 2018 season, Lindsey Wilson was the preseason pick to win the Mid-South Conference. The Blue Raiders earned 48 voting points in the Mid-South Conference Preseason Poll and six of the eight first-place votes. 
Lindsey Wilson won the Mid-South Conference regular-season title in 2017, finishing with a 21-1 conference record and a 39-13 overall mark.
The Blue Raiders advanced to the NAIA Tournament last season. 
Rogers, who will look to help Lindsey Wilson compete for both a conference title and a national championship, is majoring in Education.
