Rochester Festival

The annual Rochester Fall Festival was held on Saturday and was a huge success.  The park saw a steady flow of people that enjoyed games, cars, trucks, live music, crafts, a dance contest, beauty pageants, hayrides plenty of food, and a lot more.

There were activities for every age group. Playground, games, and cake walk.

Two new events this year included a 5K Run/Walk and kayaking from Reeds' Ferry to Rochester.  Dana Clark was the winner of the kayak.

Over 75 vehicles registered for the car/truck show. A 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle owned by Marty Jordan and a 1952 Chevrolet truck owned by Mike Abshire took the People's Choice awards.

There was afternoon music from the Blue Diamond Band from Ohio County.  Their banjo player is Colin Coots from Morgantown.

Several kids took part in the afternoon dance contest.

Evening music and dancing featured Roy Kyle and the Hot Rod Cruisers from Muhlenberg County.
Truly a community effort, hats off to Rochester.
