Rochester Chili Cookoff, Beliles takes home the trophy

Saturday, February 24 was the annual chili cookoff to benefit the Rochester Fire Department. $1,450 was raised on this night of good food and fellowship. Shane Wells gave the welcome and updated everyone on the Rochester Fire Department. According to Wells, the current fire truck is a 1974 (44 years old). A new fire truck is in the offing.

As for the chili cook-off, it was won by Darlene Beliles with her BBQ chili, of which several can attest was phenomenal. After everyone finished eating, Bruce White auctioned off homemade pies and other desserts.
