Rochester Chili Cook-off

Saturday, February 25th was the 2nd annual Rochester chili cookoff to benefit the Rochester Fire Department. The Rochester Community Building was filled with community members ready to eat some chili. And there was plenty from which to choose! Lisa Southerland’s white chicken chili won first prize.

There was also a pie auction. One of the winners was Wade Johnson, son of Joy and Nathan Johnson. I’m sure they’ll be enjoying their derby pie.

Special thanks to Amber Smith for organizing this event and Travis Fugate for being the pie auctioneer. Also, special and eternal thanks to out firefighters for all they do.
$1,091 was raised.
