Oak Ridge Warriors and Lady Warriors are State Bound

The Oak Ridge Warriors and Lady Warriors are headed to the KCAA JV State Tournament on March 12-15.  The Lady Warriors will make their first appearance at JV State since 2010. They are coming into the tournament as a #2 seed facing Immaculate Christian from Louisville, KY.  The JV Girls ended the regular season 14-5.  In December, the JV girls brought home third place in the Bethel JV Invitational Tournament.  They were Champions of the First Region regular season and are looking to make an impact at the JV State Tournament this weekend. The JV Girls will be playing Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. C.S.T.
The JV Boys will be entering the state tournament as a # 5 seed facing Cornerstone Christian from Shelbyville, KY.  The JV Boys ended the regular season at 16-3 and were Runners-Up in the First Region regular season. In December, the Warriors won the Bethel JV Invitational Tournament and brought home the Championship trophy.   Coach Joey Kirby said, “We have been preparing all season for this time and we are excited to once again reach the KCAA JV State Tournament.”  The boys have not been to the KCAA JV State Tournament since 2006. The JV Boys will be playing at 4:45 p.m. C.S.T. on Friday.
All games will be played at Bluegrass Christian School in Lexington, KY.  If the Warriors and Lady Warriors win their first round they will be playing in the Semi-Finals and possibly the Championship games on Saturday.  We want to wish both our Warriors and Lady Warriors good luck this weekend at  the State Tournament!
