According to Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor on January 31, 2018, Morgantown City Police received a call from a concerned citizen about a suspicious car on Festival Drive. Morgantown City Police made contact with the driver Brandon Johnson and two passengers, Alicia Brown and Matthew Watts. Johnson was found with two used needles and a small baggy of methamphetamine.

Johnson, of Morgantown, was lodged in the Butler County Jail and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance 1st-degree 1st offense, etc.
