Morgantown men arrested by Bowling Green - Warren County Drug Task Force

The Bowling Green - Warren County Drug Task Force with assistance from Warren County Sheriff’s Office has arrested:

Robert D. Thomason of 1033 Clarence Odell Road, Bowling Green, KY Age 34
Charged with:

    Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st Degree, Class C Felony (2 counts)
    Escape, 2nd Degree
    Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor
    Resisting Arrest

John Haynes of 281 Carlie Staple Road, Morgantown, KY Age 25
Charged with:

    Complicity to Escape, 2nd Degree
    Resisting Arrest

 Anthony Shane Gipe of 281 Carlie Staple Road, Morgantown, KY Age 27
Charged with:

    Complicity to Escape, 2nd Degree
    Resisting Arrest

Following an ongoing investigation of drug trafficking in meth and a controlled drug buy the accused was arrested and placed in a Sheriff’s vehicle. He managed to circumvent the security system on the police vehicle and open a rear window. He then jumped from the police vehicle into a passing acquaintances vehicle but was stopped and re-apprehended by detectives and officers on the scene.
This incident and the arrests occurred in the 1600 block of Sharon Drive, in Bowling Green, Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 4PM. During the arrests nearly an ounce of methamphetamine was seized along with cash.

They were taken into custody without further incident and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

The investigation will be presented to the Warren County Grand Jury in the near future.
