MORGANTOWN: City sells property to Stratus Plastics; Scotty's awarded bid for paving streets

The last few days have been busy ones for the city of Morgantown. On Friday, April 27, Mayor Billy Phelps announced that the city had sold a major industrial property in the amount of $1,350,000 to Stratus Plastics.

"As a new industry and employer for our town, the city is extremely excited and proud to bring this new industry to our community and will endeavor to continue a positive working relationship now and in the future," said Mayor Phelps. "This is a big day for the city of Morgantown."

On Monday, Mayor Phelps announced that Scotty's Contracting and Stone has been awarded the bid for paving streets in the city. According to the mayor, "this is the largest amount of paving in nearly twenty years' time in the city of Morgantown."

The following streets will be newly paved during this phase:
