Meth Bust On Beaver Dam Road

Josh W. McKinney (DOB 3/26/77) of 2940 Beaver Dam Road, Morgantown, was arrested on Sunday evening and lodged in the Butler County Jail. His charges include: trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense, (methamphetamine), manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, unlawful possession of meth precursor, first offense, possession of controlled substance, first offense-drug unspecified, and drug paraphernalia, buy/possess, first offense.

Acting on a tip of drug activity Butler County Sheriff’s Deputies Justin Deweese and Chris Reneer and Denny Deweese, Morgantown Police Department, made contact with McKinney at the residence and detected a strong chemical odor. After receiving consent from McKinney to search his residence a meth lab was discovered. The Morgantown Fire Department and Emergency Management Director Terry Hunt were called to the scene due to the nature of the lab. Deputy Heath West also responded and cleaned up the lab.
