MES: Sharpen the Saw Day

Morgantown Elementary School held their first Sharpen the Saw day on Thursday, December 17, 2015 . This day was filled with various activities including Gingerbread houses, Ornament Making, Movie & Popcorn, Baking/Cookie Decorating, Basketball Drills, Christmas Cards, Caroling, and Weather.

Thanks to Landon Hampton and Andrew Dockery for showing our Special 4th and 5th Grade Leaders around the WNKY studios for our first Sharpen the Saw Day at MES.

It was a fun filled event which allowed students to put into practice one of the Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Habit 7, Sharpen the Saw. Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset we have--ourselves. Time is spent renewing oneself physically, social/emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
