MES Murals

Morgantown Elementary School has started their new school year continuing their Leader in Me program.  Renovations to the front lobby have been made, but one of the biggest changes you will notice in the school is several colorful, beautiful paintings on the wall done by muralist Lori James.

Throughout the halls you will find several murals highlighting the seven habits that are taught within the Leader in Me program.  These murals add character and cheer to the hallways of the school, creating an energetic atmosphere for the children while reminding them to incorporate the habits into their daily routines.

One of the newest and largest murals in the school can be found in the cafeteria depicting children in a large playground made out of fruits and vegetables.  These various scenes span the length of the wall in the cafeteria and encourage the children to make healthy choices in eating.

Next time you visit the school, make sure to take notice of the new artwork and visit the cafeteria to see the newest mural by Lori James.  The faculty encourages parents to be involved in their student’s school activities as much as possible because their volunteerism and participation is appreciated and valued greatly by the school.
