Morgantown Care and Rehab Center hosted their second annual Tree Lighting ceremony on December 1, 2016.  The event kicks off the Christmas season in their home.

Elders and families are encouraged to bring in an ornament that reminds them of their loved one who lives in our home.  During the event elders and families share their stories about their ornament and place them on the tree. After everyone has shared their stories, the tree is lit.

According to Director of Admissions, Jamie Howard, "The purpose of the tree lighting is to continue the event each year and grow the number of ornaments so that the tree becomes a "story" of our home and elders."

Refreshments and music were shared following the event.
