The American Life Sciences Innovation Council (ALSIC) presented Congressman Guthrie with the Medicare Access Champion Award.

“I am honored to receive this award,” said Congressman Guthrie. “I know how important it is for seniors to receive the specialized care they need and am proud to do all I can to help them.”

The Medicare Access Champion Award recognizes Congressman Guthrie’s work on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and its Health Subcommittee. Protecting reimbursement rates under Medicare Part B ensures that seniors have access to specialized medications and treatments.

“Medicare Part B benefits are essential to Kentuckians. Reduced access to treatment would mean higher costs – something that would be devastating to patients and the entire Medicare system,” added Congressman Guthrie.
