Colton Givens of Morgantown, Kentucky graduated May 6, 2016 from University of Kentucky College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree. Givens received the distinction of being listed in the Order of the Coif, a designation representing the top 10% of the class by grade point average and faculty selection. A reception for the graduating class of 150 students was held May 5 at the CastlePost in Versailles, and was attended by his parents, Chris and Gina Givens also of Morgantown.
Colton is a 2009 graduate of Butler County High School and a 2013 graduate of Murray State University. He is the grandson of Anna Rhea and the late Richard Casey of Beaver Dam, and Roger H. and the late Esther Givens of Morgantown. This fall, he will begin a one-year clerkship in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
