FISCAL COURT: "Celebration" money, E-911, and budget items discussed at called meeting

Butler County Fiscal Court held a called meeting on Thursday, April 11, at the courthouse. All magistrates were present.

Next, the court voted to hire Jeremy Johnson as an E-911 dispatcher.

The court then began a working session on the budget. They reviewed each item of the proposed 2025 budget, making suggestions, moving funds, and cutting costs.

The court took no action. However, several items of note were mentioned:

--$0.00 Recycling Center

--3.4 percent pay increase for employees

--7.9 percent increase in health insurance costs

--$31,155 increase in property insurance

The court also made cuts in donations, however, no action was taken as these were only suggestions. The court will review the proposed budget again at a future meeting.
